Fun Ford Weekend '00
Held at

East pit.

West pit and car show area.

The day in chronological order.

Wife Alba and I got to Norwalk around noon Saturday. Met up with Dave W. Dave and I went for a walk in the west pits where we saw this Rancharo:

We got Alba and went into the east stands and watched some racing. Saw my first pony launch.
Shot this 1.2 meg MPG of a Notch Thumping a FoxStang during qualifying:

Pinto and II Shoot Out.

We're in the stands when the track anouncer broadcast: "Dave from entry #21 in the car show, please return to your car". WTF? We got back to his car. Gave it a quick once over and nothing was out of place. Soon this guy shows up wearing a Mustangs and Fast Fords shirt. I didn't really listen in but heard enough to know he wanted to photograph the car. !.Dave drove her out near the landing strip for a photo shoot.

I got a few shots too:

Alba and I went for a walk through the east pits.

Enjoy:

Alba and I got back to the car. Dave left to use some type of facility. I figured I would run off and take a few more pictures: What happens to a plywood wall when exposed to Jet Dragster exhaust? A close up of the wall.

Alba watches Daves car, and even fields a few II questions.

I got a 1 meg MPG of a Fox cleaning it's paws:

I think these are the survivors of first round True Street:

It was getting late so the three of us headded over to Dave's place for a cook out. Later, As Alba and I were on the way home, I thought we would just drive by the track on the way out of town. Right. We stopped. I had to stop. My wife isw a sweetheart, not a word ...

A Cougar for sale.

A 500 k MPG of a II in the box.

And a graphic of her launching:
