Mustang II Gathering
September 26, 1998 - Portland Oregon
Darryl, George and your host, Lance
Darryl, Dan, George, and Dan's 89 Lincoln Town Car
George and his '75 2+2, voted the "shiniest car," and "cleanest engine."
Darryl's '74 coupe, the "most altered."
The 351W stuffed into Darryl's '74. On the driver's side, you can see the headers coming straight off the head. What the picture doesn't show as well is all the cutting that was required to do that...
The spit-polished 302 that resides under the hood of George's '75.
A view from inside the garage, over Lance's '77 Cobra. Dan and Darryl inspect George's abundance of chrome engine bay accents, Lance's '78 King Cobra ("most in need of paint") to the left.
What a gleeful looking bunch of gearheads...
Lance is seen here pondering the future of the 302 in his '77 Cobra. The prognosis: Overdue for a rebuild.
Check out the treatment on the back of George's II. Yes, those are antennae, George is also the "AWAC." Couldn't resist....
Yeah, yeah, I already said it needs paint...
Late in the evening, the motley bunch prepares to part ways. This picture does not show the red and blue lights George has hooked up underneath his car.
|
And an excellent time was had by all. The food was sufficiently burnt, the beer sufficiently cold.
As the screeching of Darryl's tires faded into the distance, and calm once again settled on the
neighborhood, it dawned on me that it was past time to eat again............
