Mustang II Gathering

June 5-7, 1998 - Carlisle, Pennsylvania

By Frank Shannon III

Members of the Mustang II Internet Message Exchange attended the All-Ford Nationals in Carlisle, Pennsylvania on the weekend of June 5-7, 1998. Some were in attendance for the whole weekend, while a couple were just there for a day or two. Everyone was together on Saturday, and we all had a great time checking out each other's IIs and just hanging out.

Pictured from left to right, top to bottom: Linda Spiegel, Todd Zabbia, Frank Shannon, Todd Mitchell, Steve Tonkin, Mary Tonkin, Brian Achey. Not pictured, but attended: Phil Schmidt, Mark and Alba Heschel, Suzanne Eklund, Todd Poppie, Photo by Gregg

A big Congratulations goes out to Steve Tonkin, who took second place in the 1971-1978 Mustang category with his black 1978 King Cobra!

To check out some more pics of that King, and his red one (now under restoration), check this link out: Uncle Steve's 'Stangs

Todd Mitchell's 1976 Cobra II

On Saturday evening, most of us got together for dinner at one of the local restaurants...gave us a chance to relax and shoot the breeze a while.

Cars pictured: Frank's Silver '77 Ghia, Todd Mitchell's '76 Cobra, Todd Zabbia's '75 Coupe

All in all, it was an excellent weekend, and I know I'm looking forward to the 1999 All-Ford Nationals!
