Ghia Window Conversion

Have a Ghia with those small opera windows and want the bigger ones? No cutting necessary to install the bigger windows!

Click for a larger view Parts you'll need from a donor car with large windows:

  • All the chrome trim around the door/windows from both sides, including the side pillar pieces
  • Both rear windows to replace your small ones (duh!) :)
  • Rear headliner anchors (tear the headliner out of the donor car and you'll see what I'm talking about here)
  • Rear interior panels, both sides, along with all the inside rear-window trim

On your car, pull part of the vinyl top back (Only as much as you need to! Be aware this may destroy the vinyl material) and remove the windows. You'll notice there's a panel installed to compensate for the small window in the large opening. This panel removes easily, and you can go ahead and install those larger windows. Install the rest of the parts you grabbed from the donor car, and you're done.
