Restoring Faded Taillight Plastic

If your taillight and side marker light plastic is getting a bit weathered, try this tip out. Head to the bathroom and grab a tube of toothpaste, preferrably Colgate paste (Gel types won't work). Using a damp cloth, squeeze some toothpaste out onto the rag and buff your plastic pieces as if you were waxing them. After the toothpaste starts to wear thin, rinse and repeat the process. The more times you rinse and buff, the shinier your lights will get. This all works better if you remove the lights from their housings and clean them inside and out before starting.
