Another little maintenance/storage item: Try some silicone spray on all the weatherstripping. This works excellent at keeping the rubber soft and uncracked. It also will help eliminate annoying air whistles, especially in the hatch. Should be able to find it at any parts store, I generally spray it onto a rag and then work it into the rubber.
